Among other sports, windsurfing is the king and the upcoming kitesurfing, the prince. During the day, people coming from everywhere in the world waddle with their surfboards, and, in the late evening they load their 4X4 vehicles and get ready to populate the crowded and cozy cafés of the old town. Others ride horses along the never-ending sands while the most fanatic ones keep flysurfing till dusk. During the summer you run the great risk to end close to a fire born in the beach, listening to music and having some drinks, sharing the day experiences with the other surfers. |

Surrounded by natural parks known by their ornithological richness, Valdevaqueros beach is the very heart of windsurfing and kitesurfing. Two of the best well known surfing schools are located there and there's plenty of people taking lessons both in the sand and in the water. Many others just look or go for a walk to the dune which lies at the end of the gulf, just a couple of hundred meters from the windsurfing area. |

Kitesurfing is often also called flysurfing or skysurfing, no wonder why. While you lie on the beach you see incredible jumps, 5m long, some other 5 meters high even at low wind conditions. You'll rapidly become interested and ask about kite lessons. |
